In West Bengal, India, there has been a huge disaster after the Super Cyclone Amphan. The weather department had already detected this cyclone, after which the administration worked to evacuate people from the coastal areas. The storm was so severe that it caused heavy economic losses in West Bengal. The speed of the storm was 160 to 180 KM per hour.
Recently, Chief Minister of Bengal, Mamata Banerjee met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on this subject, in which Prime Minister Narendra Modi assured to help Bengal. Now Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has asked for another help from the central government to restore normalcy to the devastated Bengal.
Mamta Banerjee on Saturday demanded the central government to increase the deployment of Army, National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and National Disaster Response Force (SDRF) personnel.
Due to this super cyclone coming to India, the state of Bengal has suffered economic losses as well as 86 people have also died. A large number of people have become homeless from their homes and many houses have been destroyed.
Government help is needed to get life back on track. Proper steps will also have to be taken to improve things rapidly. That is why Mamta Government is constantly in touch with the Central Government. Mamta Banerjee says that with the aim of normalizing the situation, she also hopes to get help from Indian Railways, Kolkata Port Trust, and the private sector to supply equipment.
