Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan arrives at China for a three-day visit from today.
In China, Prime Minister Imran Khan will discuss issues of regional and bilateral importance including the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and Kashmir.
Significantly, the visit of the President of China is to be held in Nepal and India as well, so before the visit of Xi Jinping, the Prime Minister of Pakistan will meet the President of China. During his visit, Prime Minister Imran Khan will hold separate meetings with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Premier Li-Keqiang. Imran Khan’s talks will include issues such as the expansion of projects under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor in addition to cooperation in the agricultural, industrial and socio-economic sectors.
The two countries may address a business forum in Beijing to promote economic and trade exchanges between the two countries. The Prime Minister will also hold meetings with Chinese entrepreneurs and heads of various companies during the visit. Both sides will discuss the immediate implementation of Phase-2 of the China-Pakistan Free Trade Agreement to boost bilateral trade.
