Inspiration of women in Indian politics, Sushma Swaraj passed away

Former Foreign Minister of India Shushma Swaraj has died today at the age of 67. After a heart attack this evening, she was brought to AIIMS hospital in Delhi where doctors confirmed her death.

In the last tenure of the Modi’s government on behalf of the BJP in Indian politics, Foreign Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj made a distance from Indian politics due to her poor health.
Sushma Swaraj, during her last tenure as a foreign minister, worked to familiarize the world with the country’s policies through her speeches in India and abroad.

Sushma Swaraj was born on 14 February 1952 in Ambala Cantt, Haryana.
She did his graduation from Punjab University where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in law.

Sushma Swaraj has been associated with social issues in social life since the beginning.
An example of this is that he actively participated in the “whole revolution” movement of Jai Prakash Narayan.

She was a prominent critic of the Emergency imposed by Indira Gandhi.

Sushma Swaraj started her political life only after the age of 25, she was a good speaker from the beginning, her talk used to make everyone wonder and make her think.

Due to the nature as a speaker, she criticized opposition parties in Parliament many times.
A recent example of this is that when he she made the Leader of the Opposition against the Congress in the Parliament in 2009, he attacked the Congress several times in his speech with serious questions, due to which the Congress also falls on the back foot.

Sushma has contested elections nearly 11 times in the last 40 years in her political life, in which she has won 7 times.



Sushma is also the BJP-led Delhi CM in 1998 and is the second woman after Indira Gandhi to hold the post of External Affairs Minister.
